Dummy units said to depict the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra have appeared online, offering a look at a reported redesign ahead of the phone’s expected early 2027 launch. The images show a horizontal camera bar in place of the vertical camera arrangement seen on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The new layout has been compared with the raised camera design on Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The dummy units are not final phones, so they do not confirm the finished design or specifications. Their dimensions are listed at 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm, only slightly different from the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm. The camera arrangement appears to be the main visible change.

The dummy-unit report also points to the removal of a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, though the available information does not establish what would replace it. A built-in S Pen is also reported. The same report mentions magnets for Qi2 wireless charging, but their presence is not visible in the dummy unit or the underlying renders, making that detail uncertain.

Separate import-export database listings cited by Notebookcheck suggest that the Galaxy S27 Pro could use a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, while the Ultra is expected to get the more capable Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 or a Galaxy-specific version. Both chips are described as using a 2nm process, but the Extreme model is expected to offer stronger computing, graphics and neural performance. It is also reported to support 8K video recording at 60 frames per second, compared with 30fps on the standard Elite chip.

The listings also indicate that international versions of the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus may use Samsung’s Exynos 2700 chipset. They list display sizes of 6.3 inches for the S27, 6.7 inches for the S27 Plus and 6.9 inches for the Ultra, matching their predecessors. The Pro is listed with a 6.5-inch screen, placing it between the standard and Plus models. The series is expected to arrive in January 2027.
