The Garmin Fenix 8 has appeared in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale, with the 47mm model reduced to $755. That is close to its lowest recorded price of $749, although stock is limited and the offer may not remain available for long.

At the time of writing, the discount applies only to this Fenix 8 configuration rather than the wider Fenix 8 range. The available stock was reported at 18 watches, making it a deal that could disappear quickly.

The Fenix 8 is positioned as a strong option for amateur athletes and adventurers. Its features include a durable design, accurate sports tracking, extensive training analysis, and maps and navigation capabilities. Testing also included two marathons with the watch.

Despite the recent arrival of the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro, the Fenix 8 retains many of the newer watches’ key features. Almost all of the software additions introduced with the Fenix 9 are also being delivered to the Fenix 8 through updates.

The newer models do have exclusive features. The Fenix 8 Pro and Fenix 9 Pro offer LTE and satellite connectivity, while the Fenix 9 Pro also includes design changes such as a full titanium case and other minor updates.

However, the Fenix 8 is considered to match the newer watches in most important areas apart from connectivity. At $755, its lower price could therefore make it the better-value choice for shoppers who do not need those communication features.
