An Echo Show owner says their device recently began displaying more generic AI-generated slides through a feature called Created For You. The examples included topics such as squirrels finding nuts, cornfield mazes and daylight saving time, which the writer said did not reflect their interests.

The content can be limited through the Echo Show’s touchscreen. When an unwanted slide appears, tap the three-dot menu and select the thumbs-down option. This may help reduce similar recommendations, though it is not presented as a complete fix.

To change the displayed content, swipe down on the screen, open Settings, select Display & Appearance, and then choose Content Categories. From there, users can turn off categories they do not want to see while keeping those they find relevant. Another option is to enable Rotate Once, which shows Amazon’s slides only once.

Echo Show owners can also choose to display only a photo album. That removes other slide content from the display, while the category and Rotate Once settings offer ways to retain some recommendations and updates. The writer reports seeing fewer AI-generated images after changing these settings.
