Interior designer Jeremiah Brent has partnered with rug and textile brand Loloi on Rhythms of Craft, a collection of more than 35 rugs and a range of pillows. The line reflects Brent’s architectural approach to design while drawing on the history of embroidered linens for its textile accents.
The collection references the work of Mies van der Rohe, ancient Rome, and Gothic stonework. Brent translated architectural lines, proportions, and repetition into softer, tactile forms intended for the home. Loloi described the partnership as a way to bring a fresh interpretation of architecture, art, and history to contemporary interiors.
Rhythms of Craft combines Brent’s creative direction with Loloi’s experience in materials and rug construction. The collection includes sculptural silhouettes, carved details, and geometric patterns made using techniques such as hand-tufting, hand-looming, hand-woven jute, hand-knotting, and power-looming for areas with heavier traffic.
Both Brent and Loloi identify the Obelisk design as a standout pattern. Its notched corners, inspired by Art Deco architecture, add definition to an otherwise simple wool rug. Brent said the detail echoes the notched edges he has used in stone, countertops, and door frames, bringing the same architectural effect to the floor.
The Jeremiah Brent x Loloi collection is available through loloirugs.com and selected online retailers.
