Samsung’s Bespoke AI Laundry Combo combines a washer and dryer in one appliance, so clothes can be washed and dried without being moved between machines. In a side-by-side home test, both the vented and ventless versions fully dried typical loads, while the vented model consistently finished faster. Depending on the load, the difference was as much as an hour.
The reviewer found that standard-sized loads generally completed a wash-and-dry cycle in under two and a half hours on either model. Samsung advertises a 68-minute Super Speed cycle for the vented version and a 98-minute cycle for the ventless one, but those figures apply to specific loads and settings; larger loads can take longer.
Installation is another key difference. The vented combo needs a 240V outlet and an external dryer vent. The ventless model uses a standard 120V outlet and does not need external dryer venting, though both still require water supply and drainage. The reviewer recommends checking a home’s electrical and venting setup before ordering.
Each machine has a 5.3-cubic-foot capacity and includes AI-powered wash and dry cycles, automatic detergent dispensing, touchscreen controls, automatic door opening and SmartThings app notifications. The app lets users check cycle progress and receive an alert when washing ends and drying is about to start—a useful feature if an item needs to be removed before drying.
Using two combos at once, the reviewer completed five or six loads in roughly half a day, compared with laundry previously taking up much of a weekend. The reviewer’s preference was the vented model when the required connections were already available, while the ventless version was considered a practical option for homes without an external dryer vent. Both models offered the same main convenience: no need to transfer wet clothes between machines.
